A North Carolina Enterprise customer says a car he reserved was given to someone else, leaving him stranded without transportation. The man confronted employees on camera. Viewers largely criticized how they handled the situation, with some calling for them to be fired. However, a few former Enterprise employees offered a different perspective.
Posted to TikTok by @airmax365isbrandingo, the video shows the customer confronting two Enterprise employees over his rental car reservation. He says he booked the car in advance but was told it had been given to someone else. The man questions why the employees can’t do anything to help him, pointing out that he paid to get there and is now being told to leave because the location is closing at six.
Throughout the video, the customer repeatedly calls out one employee for laughing at the situation. He also questions why a returned car isn’t available, with an employee explaining that it needs an oil change. The creator argues that the employees are leaving him out of luck rather than finding a solution, and he challenges the branch manager over his inability to help.
According to his caption, the creator claims he contacted the company’s area manager but has yet to receive a response.
Viewers Weren’t Having It
The employee who appeared to laugh drew the most criticism. “The guy that’s laughing should be fired,” one viewer wrote. Another was even more blunt, saying, “if he wanna laugh he can lose his job, [expletive] ain’t funny.” A third commenter criticized both workers for how they handled the situation. “Trash behavior. Ignoring reservations for walk ins. And then not even trying to make it right,” they wrote.
Some commenters said the experience had put them off Enterprise altogether. One viewer who rents cars weekly said, “I will never use enterprise again or anyone that is associated with that company.” Another said they were considering canceling an upcoming rental because “a reservation means nothing.“
Others blamed the problem on management rather than the workers. “It’s not their fault. Management makes them over book,” one viewer argued. A former employee said this was why they quit, explaining that staff can’t control the website but still end up getting harassed and recorded by customers.
In recent years, social media has become a way for people to hold businesses accountable when they feel ignored or mistreated. When customer service fails and nobody seems willing to take responsibility, posting the experience online can feel like the only way to get someone’s attention.
