It is frustrating when we go through processes or documentation, and for some reason, we are denied. However, there are people who, rightly or wrongly, argue with those in charge to get their way. A similar incident occurred with Karen in North Carolina, whose Jeep failed inspection, so she called her husband to persuade the technicians to pass her car. Karen thought this was cool, but it only attracted the biggest trolls on the internet.
On TikTok, livebest33_2.0 shared a video with the text: “When they tell you your Jeep didn’t pass inspection, so you call your husband to tell them yes it did.” In the video, this woman is waiting outside a mechanic’s shop and then filming her husband arriving in a Jeep. From the video and the description, “That’s what I thought,” it’s evident that this Karen from North Carolina wasn’t going to sit idly by after the technicians said her car didn’t pass inspection. So calling her husband is just a technique to get him to solve the problem with the technicians, as, according to Karen’s comments, her car did pass in the end.
However, the comments didn’t focus so much on the car inspection, but rather on how “threatening” Karen’s husband looked. For example, Dj joked, “How did he see over their desk to tell them?” There was not only one user who pointed out the husband’s height, such as user545737743022, who added, “Him and the other elves fixed it.”
Being a devil’s advocate, I don’t think the husband deserved all the jokes. Yet, the fact that the woman got away after going into Karen mode and posting it on TikTok as if it were a flex was what provoked the wave of trolls. Something she wasn’t prepared for, but she also called it because one user commented without mocking her, and Karen went on the attack without mercy. The user in question was TKOwens, who wrote, “As a technician, we hate this. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t pass.” A harmless comment that didn’t deserve Karen going crazy and saying to them, “Well, they passed it, so do your damn job right.”
The internet can be just as savage as Karen, so if she wasn’t ready, it was best to ignore the comment section because now this woman is arguing with almost everyone who comments on her video. So if you can take it, don’t dish it out.
