A racist incident unfolded on what seemed to be an ordinary sunny day in North Carolina, as a man approached an Egyptian man sitting in his car and unleashed hateful words and threats at him, just for being of a different race. A video posted on Reddit showed the Egyptian man recording the entire exchange stealthily. At the same time, the local could be heard assuming certain races for the immigrant based on his appearance, and then finally demanding the driver’s race.
When the immigrant responded that he was Egyptian, the reserve of threats came rolling out. “So I had to lift you f**king camel f**ks out of Egypt back to my countries and watch you f**king cuckold me and replace me,” he started. The immigrant attempted to justify that the Egyptian population in the US was not alarming, but the aggressor did not back down. He questioned why the Egyptian American was communicating in English, saying, “I’m not Egyptian, I don’t benefit from your f**king saucy camel d**k genetics. Which now makes me feel like murdering you as you f**king replaced me in western civilization.”
The passerby kept barraging the immigrant with questions and more hurtful words, speaking over him, ranting about how women were going to perceive him as “Walmart” in comparison to the Egyptian and his genes. The immigrant tried to reason with the local, reminding him that the US was very “diverse and had been from the very beginning.” Responding, the man outside pulled closer to the window of the car as though to drive home his point, “My people came here and f**king murdered f**king natives to f**king settle it so you f**king Egyptian camel f**ks and f**king moving in here and f**king replace me, f**k you!” he hurled.
Soon the conversation shifted to religion as the local man stated, “My religion is f**king hunting you pakis,” but not for too long, as he returned to the topic of genetics again. When the immigrant asked why he thought the Egyptians had “dominant genetics,” he went on listing the immigrant’s physical attributes. The man in the car concluded that the local was speaking from a place of insecurity and told him he also had “good” attributes.
Unfazed by the compliment, the local continued, “Every day tells me I’m going to f**king hunt you and k*ll you,” he snapped. Getting agitated, the North Carolina man began banging on the immigrant’s car while the man in the car tried to calm him down.
The immigrant advised the local to calm down and watch who and where he says these things. He stated that if the local had gotten the “wrong person,” he would not have had it as easy. Apparently, the entire fiasco began with the local just staring at the man in the car and then walking over to start spewing hateful words. The aggressor argued that he was just “venting” to him. Finally, the immigrant offered to give the man his number if he needed someone to just talk to.
As expected, the video drew a lot of comments from Redditors. One wrote, “This pretty encapsulates White racism. It’s an inferiority complex.” Another believed the local man’s fascination with the immigrant’s physical attributes had more to it. “ Bro is gay and angry as he doesn’t understand why he is attracted to Egyptian men’s eyebrows,” they wrote.
Echoing that sentiment, a user wrote, “It’s sad that the person that White guy hates the most is clearly himself. Plus, ‘saucy camel d*ck/nice eyebrows’.? That guy needs a boyfriend, and I’m not saying that as a joke. It’s wildly obvious.” A couple of users were impressed with the way the immigrant handled the situation.“The guy sitting in the car is a very chill, reasonable guy. I give him a high five,” another Redditor praised.
