October 18th marked the second round of No Kings protests in the USA. Millions of people participated in the nationwide movement, which stands against the policies and actions of the Trump administration. For those in towns or cities with higher populations, protest crowds inevitably hindered the day-to-day movement in some traffic areas. When a woman in North Carolina went to brunch at uptown Charlotte’s Midnight Diner earlier, she found herself surrounded by a protest crowd.
The woman, who goes by Miss Kenni on her TikTok channel, posted a video outside the diner. She stated that she and her mother had not planned to be in attendance at the Charlotte protest. Yet those who did show up there specifically to protest formed an extremely large crowd. Miss Kenni and her mom were stuck in the parking lot after their meal.
Miss Kenni is a communications major who works in the media field. She’s also an influencer, with a TikTok following of over 200,000 people. As such, she provided the commentary like a true North Carolina newscasting professional:
We’re trying to get out, friends, and (um) the people are out here in droves. They are not playing. Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go!
She then panned her video camera over the protest in action. The Charlotte crowd was seen protesting peacefully, while chanting their memorable, catchy No Kings proclamation.
Charlotte No Kings Protest Gets Online Support
Comments on the video were full of other No Kings protest supporters across the US. Some shared their own family’s stories at different protests today, while most just replied with locations and unifying words.
One person stated, “NYC is proud of Charlotte, North Carolina!”
Another exclaimed, “SO PROUD, WE THE PEOPLE!”
Many who watched the North Carolina resident share her 35-second impromptu narration also praised her for natural news coverage skills. Regardless of her being on the scene by accident, we’re glad that Miss Kenni decided to document what she experienced and then share it on her feed.
