Oblivion Remastered Players are Too Horny for Their Own Good: ‘No More Sexy Flame Atronach Posts’

One of the many joys of diving back into Cyrodiil again in Oblivion Remastered is seeing all the updated character models for the 20-year-old game. Most of the changes are glorious, of course, but one particular model has caught the attention of many players– too much. It appears the fiery Flame Atronach has taken over the Oblivion Remastered community, with many players becoming too sidetracked to save the world.

If you’re active in any online Oblivion Remastered community, then chances are, you’ve probably seen one of the Flame Atronach memes already, especially ones involving the use of a Fire Resist Potion and risking it all. Turns out these memes have been dominating too lately that one of the online communities had to tighten its standards about such posts.

That particular community is none other than the Oblivion subreddit, and now, a highly-upvoted post from one of the subreddit’s moderators will be auto-banning or removing any Flame Atronach post that’s too “simple.” So, there will be “No more low-effort ‘Sexy Flame Atronach’ posts” moving forward for the biggest Oblivion community right now.

It’s not clear what constitutes “low-effort,” but based on the imagery, any simple screenshot of a dead Flame Atronach will prompt a removal. It appears the subreddit has lately become flooded with too many sexy or suggestive Flame Atronach posts, hence, they had to enforce the rule.

So far, there have been no violent reactions from the subreddit’s members, though one of them has asked whether Spriggans– another shapely enemy sharing the same mesh as the Flame Atronach– are also banned from the subreddit or not.

“How bout the spriggins? Quite cheeked up as well. Or so I’ve heard,” diligently asks Redditor Diligent-Gene752, though they remain unanswered.

Of All the Things They Didn’t Censor…

To make the matter even weirder, either the devs or the publisher of Oblivion Remastered actually went on a censorship spree for the game. Some of the more notable censorship involved removing cleavage from the Golden Saints’ Armor or other revealing armor sets from the original.

Some criticisms have also pointed out how Oblivion Remastered now uses the same armor model regardless of whether the wearer has a male or female physique– something the original didn’t do. Not really a problem for the modders as it’s likely only a matter of time before they do their work.

For some reason, however, the studio seems to have forgotten to censor the Flame Atronach model, which has led to the countless memes and suggestive posts about the fabled literal hottie. While you might think that it’s less work for the modders that way, you’re wrong, as Oblivion Remastered modders have already given the Flame Atronach and “enhanced” treatment.
