Obnoxious YouTuber’s Failed Dinner ‘Prank’ Blasted as Cringeworthy: ‘Strong Virgin Energy’

A joke that doesn’t stick the landing.

A viral video shared over on Reddit captures one of the most cringe-worthy influencer stunts in recent memory, and it has everyone talking… but not in a good way. In the clip, a YouTuber (who we haven’t been able to identify but refers to himself as Mr. Wizard) spots a couple enjoying a quiet meal and decides to intrude, camera rolling, to ask if he can “join in on some family fun.” The couple looks stunned as he insists on making himself comfortable at their table, hovering awkwardly while filming their reactions.

At first, the influencer seems content with just making things uncomfortably weird. But when his attempt at humor falls flat, he takes a cheap shot, referring to the woman as an “orc.” As you’d expect, that line didn’t win him any laughs, especially not from observers on Reddit.

I don’t know about you, but watching this unfold, I could feel the secondhand embarrassment. And apparently, I wasn’t alone. Redditors have been quick to slam the YouTuber’s antics as tasteless and desperate, with many questioning why people follow creators who pull stunts like this. “Probably a 30-year-old guy with the emotional maturity of a 12-year-old,” commented one user. Another chimed in, “This is the same guy who harassed that woman in the park, isn’t it?”

Many users expressed frustration with influencers who go to extreme—and uncomfortable—lengths for content. “He’s gonna mess with the wrong people one day,” predicted one commenter, while another added, “It’s time someone writes a handbook on what we’re legally allowed to do in situations like this.”

The general tone in the comments seems to echo a growing sentiment: while pranks and public interactions can make for fun content, forcing strangers into uncomfortable scenarios is a whole other story. For this influencer, his latest video might just be the backlash he didn’t see coming.
