Having worked in retail myself, I have definitely had my fair share of weird customer interactions. At the end of the day, they’re inevitable, and you’re the one who has to stay and work, not them. However, I must admit that I’ve never had the pleasure of recording any of these unusual interactions. One car dealership in Cincinnati, Ohio, was able to record a strange customer interaction after having sold a pink Mary Kay Cadillac to a different customer. Some customers just have to understand that things happen, and the world doesn’t revolve around them.
The Oaks Automotive dealership in Cincinnati, Ohio, had recently acquired a second-hand 2015 Cadillac in Mary Kay pink. Having started in the late 1960s, Mary Kay would allow their top sales directors to lease the iconic pink car and flaunt their success. Of course, some of these vehicles had also been purchased and subsequently sold to other owners. The dealership successfully sold the car to TikTok influencer Marina, also known as @elvislover1973, but not to the excitement of a different woman who had also looked forward to purchasing the vehicle.
Instead of being completely normal about it, a customer quite literally called the dealership and asked if the car was still available. After being told that it had been sold, she began to express her discontent, saying that as an influencer, Marina didn’t have to worry about paying for the car like she did, who allegedly spent two months raising funds to be able to purchase the car. Unfortunately, there really wasn’t anything the dealership could do, and instead of simply hanging up, the woman literally made horrible threats on Marina.
What the woman likely didn’t know is that Marina is a survivor of a double lung transplant surgery from just a few months ago. Much of her content revolves around her daily life with new lungs, detailing the hardships she consistently faces as a result. Part of this journey included being unable to enjoy her life, spending nearly two years indoors.
Commentators under the above video were rightfully shocked, with some believing it was a prank, saying, “Thereโs no way this is real๐ญ๐ญ” Others thought the situation was more funny than anything, focusing on just how much the girl on the phone must hate Marina. One of the top comments says, “The quiver in her voice when she said โthat girl marinaโ๐๐๐” Fortunately, the dealership was also on Marina’s side, even captioning the video with, “Thank you for your business. Someone was not too happy about you buying that car from us lol. We wish you a long and happy life!!!“
