Any workplace can be a stressful environment. However, being unnecessarily mean to your co-workers is not an appropriate response to that stress. Although that is exactly what this Ohio Dentist did to one of his nurses. The co-worker has been identified as Ohio native and a proud member of the black community, Leah Walthaw. In a now-viral TikTok, viewers can see Dr. Janak Patel get into a verbal altercation with Leah’s husband.
In the TikTok, the Ohio dentist can be seen shouting and recording Leah’s husband. The man was called into the office by his wife after Janak had allegedly said some horrible things to her. The caption of the TikTok posted by the account Hatchray states that the “doctor/owner disrespected his black female nurse.” Janak Patel also whips his phone out to record the argument as soon as possible. The clip shows the two men arguing as Leah’s husband is attempting to get the dentists outside into the parking lot to handle their issues. “Step outside,” says Leah’s husband.
However, the Ohio dentist refuses to leave the building after allegedly disrespecting the man’s wife. Janak can even be heard telling the camera person to call 911. Shortly after the remark regarding police involvement, the man calls Janak a “b**ch.” “You a b**ch now,” viewers can hear the husband yelling. Although not all the social media users were on Leah’s side. One even stated, “He tried to bait him,” regarding the husband. It would appear as though some believe that Leah Walthaw’s husband was the one being out of line here.
Leah Walthaw Explains Her Run-In With an Ohio Dentist
The TikTok would end shortly after this, however. Although the couple would post their own story time TikTok, telling their side of the story. The video was posted to Leah Walthaw’s personal TikTok account, Mrs_WalThaw20. In the video, she and her husband can be seen sitting together, recalling the situation with the Ohio dentist. They begin the TikTok with an acknowledgment that they handled the issue poorly. However, it was a strange situation to be in.
However, Leah would then explain that Janak had apologized for his actions. Although she would continue explaining that Patel claimed he couldn’t promise it wouldn’t happen again. Stop taking things so “literal,” Leah claims Patel told her. The woman then explained her side of the altercation. Patel was reportedly under the impression that Leah had been talking trash about him. However, when he confronted her, it was allegedly very aggressive. This is what led up to the argument with Leah’s significant other.

Leah is currently under the counsel of a lawyer, and has claimed she will not be talking about this online any longer. It would seem this issue is on its way to being sorted out.
