A family in Columbus, Ohio, was thrown into a moment of panic after a 6-year-old girl unintentionally sent a parked car rolling out of the driveway, forcing those around her to act quickly before the situation got worse.
The woman who shared the now-viral video on TikTok said her niece managed to get hold of the car keys and make her way into the vehicle. At the time, her grandmother was seated on the porch just steps away from the driveway, but it seemed she was unaware of what the child was doing. That changed the moment the car began to reverse.
As the vehicle started moving, the child immediately called out for help, prompting the grandmother to jump up from her seat and rush toward the driver’s side. She tried to reach the door, but the car had already picked up enough motion to roll past the driveway and into the street.
The Aunt Also Joins In
Inside the house, the child’s aunt also realized what was happening and ran out in a panic, dropping the containers she had been carrying. However, as she tried to reach the car before anything serious happened, she lost her footing and fell, rolling onto the ground.
With the situation unfolding all at once, the car continued into the neighbor’s side. Because of the elevated ground there, it did not crash into the house. Instead, it slowed, shifted slightly, and began to roll back.
The grandmother eventually managed to open the driver’s door and bring the vehicle under control. Nearby, the aunt, still on the ground, had to move out of the way as the car shifted again, even as she appeared to be in pain from the fall.
Fortunately, no injuries or major damage were reported, but the moment left everyone visibly shaken.
