There are some people in life you simply need to stay far away from, no matter how much effort it takes. Getting into a relationship with the wrong person can spiral into a nightmare. For one Ohio man on TikTok, that reality became painfully clear after his breakup with his girlfriend turned into a long and unsettling ordeal. The Ohio man, who goes by the username s0wat_ on TikTok, shared that his troubles began after ending a relationship with his girlfriend. According to him, the breakup followed a serious accusation. He said his ex girlfriend accused him of physical assault, an allegation he firmly denies. The Ohio man claimed he never touched his girlfriend and that there were no bruises or visible signs of violence. Despite this, he said he was arrested and briefly jailed based on the accusation.

What made the situation even stranger, he explained, was that his ex girlfriend never showed up to court to pursue the case. The charges did not move forward, and he was eventually released. After that experience, the relationship ended for good, and the Ohio man decided to leave the state entirely. Hoping to start fresh and put distance between himself and his ex girlfriend, he moved from Ohio all the way to Washington.

For a short time, things seemed quiet. Then, according to the Ohio man, his ex girlfriend resurfaced and continued contacting him. He claimed she told him she was pregnant with his child. While he did not immediately believe her, he said he made it clear that if a baby was born, he would request a DNA test. After that conversation, communication stopped again, and he thought the situation had finally settled.

Weeks later, however, the story took a disturbing turn. The Ohio man said he received a message from someone claiming to be his ex girlfriend’s grandmother. The message alleged that his ex girlfriend had been shot and killed and went as far as accusing him of being responsible. He was threatened with legal action and told he would be dragged to court for murder. Even more confusing, the same family members allegedly invited him to attend his ex girlfriend’s funeral.

The Ohio man said the behavior raised immediate red flags, especially since he felt the girlfriend’s family had never liked him to begin with. He ignored most of the messages but then received a voicemail from someone claiming to be a detective. According to him, the call sounded suspicious. When he looked up the detective’s phone number, he found that the voice and contact information did not match any real officer, leading him to believe the call was fake.

Days later, he received another message claiming the family was heading to Washington to find him. At that point, the Ohio man became convinced that his ex girlfriend was not dead at all and was instead impersonating her own family members and even a detective in an attempt to manipulate or scare him into contact.

TikTok users who heard the story were stunned. “This is crazy,” one person commented. The Ohio man replied that he wished he were making it up. Another user wrote, “This sounds like such a complicated catfishing situation, for what?” Others encouraged him to change his phone number and report everything to police in case the situation escalated further.
