With home surveillance systems only continuing to become more common in the United States, there are bound to be some odd footage captured from time to time. Social media apps like TikTok have also made it increasingly easy to view these strange run-ins with just a quick search. Well, that’s exactly what this Ohio man dealt with as he shares his weird encounter from outside his apartment. The clip has over 3K likes and 39K views, as social media users just can’t get enough of the action.
The TikTok video starts off with the Ring Doorbell footage from outside this person’s apartment. Right away, viewers can tell something is off as a man can seemingly be heard making some kind of loud, screaming noise off camera. As the man steps into view of the camera, he rings the doorbell to the Ring owner’s apartment. The man also seems to be very impatient when the Ohio homeowner doesn’t open the door right away. He even yells, “Oh my god,” as he paces back and forth.

Finally, the man inside the home speaks through the surveillance system to ask the random person if they are “Good.” The doorbell ringer then claims that somebody had stolen his cellphone, and continues by saying that “It’s all I got.” The man also claims that he just wants to use a phone really fast, and then he will be on his way. However, the man inside isn’t having any of this. He quickly claims that it’s three in the morning and he has to be awake for work soon. The man in the video then states that he is “Homeless,” and doesn’t have anything else to his name.
Although the TikTok comment section wasn’t feeling very welcoming either, as they let their feelings be known. “Wherever you are, don’t open the door,” wrote one. “Columbus is unreal, I love my city,” said another. “He was trying to do something,” pointed out one more. Finally, one other comment read, “I need to leave this state.”
While the Ohio man in the TikTok makes it clear that the homeless individual can not use his phone, that’s not where the video ends. After the doorbell ringer walks away, the clip cuts to the apartment across the hall’s door opening. Then steps out a woman attempting to wheel some kind of cart out of her home. Yet the item would unfortunately get a little stuck on the doorframe. Clearly frustrated, the woman then kicks the cart out of anger. There is then a string of different cuts of this woman getting angry with her cart, as this man across the hall just can’t catch a break.
This TikToker definitely has some strange neighbors and seems pretty used to their antics. However, he also thought it would be fun to play a little game with the comment section. The text on the TikTok reads, “What side of town y’all think I live on, in Columbus, Ohio?” Overall, they really aren’t hurting anyone. Although it can still be fun to get a little laugh out of the situation.
