A woman in Cleveland, Ohio, says she recently discovered what appeared to be a piece of material inside of a tub of Great Value strawberry banana yogurt she purchased from Walmart for her child. While the product typically contains small chunks of real fruit like strawberries mixed throughout, the woman claims that what she found resembled a “band aid.”
“Walmart got me all the way [expletive] up,” she wrote in the caption of her TikTok video. “Im hot right now.” In the short clip she shared, the woman showed the inside of the container, which contained the half-eaten yogurt. She scooped through the yogurt with a spoon before lifting out a pale, rectangular-looking object partially coated in the mixture. It also looked hollow in the middle.
In the comments, the woman wrote that she has contacted corporate at the Great Value brand, which is owned exclusively by Walmart, and has filed a claim. As of now, no update has been provided on whether her findings have been confirmed or if the issue has been resolved.
Another Ohio woman also shared an unusual thing she discovered about an “organic” banana she bought from Walmart recently.
Netizens’ Reactions to the Ohio Woman’s Discovery
Many people in her comments encouraged her to pursue legal action over the alleged contamination. Someone wrote, “Sue the [expletive] out them bc ain’t no way,” while another simply commented, “LAWSUIT.”
Some questioned how such an item could realistically end up inside a sealed yogurt product. “Its a mass produced food product…its made by machines. HOW exactly does ones band aid get into the machinery?” one person asked.
A few viewers also argued that responsibility may lie with the manufacturer rather than the retailer itself. “That’s not Walmarts fault,” one comment read, while another added, “That’s not on Walmart…the company did that.”
