A woman living in Columbus, Ohio, denounced that someone had stolen the giant pink bow she had placed on her front door. She then noticed her neighbor acting suspiciously, and when the truth finally came out, he became unhinged, according to her.
The series of TikTok videos, which quickly became viral, was shared by user messylightning (Messy). In her latest TikTok on the subject, she summed up what happened at her Columbus, Ohio, apartment after she noticed her pink bow was gone.
According to Messy, after noticing that someone had taken her bow, she started looking for it. That’s when she came across her neighbor, whom she told that whoever took her bow was “going to get their [expletive] beat.” Messy then says that the neighbor, visibly worried, said, “I don’t want to get my [expletive] beat,” which was arguably “sus.”
Days later, after Messy installed a doorbell camera and got a new bow, the neighbor “unprompted” came to her door. That’s when he told her that his ex-girlfriend and a friend of hers had visited him and that the latter had stolen her bow.
Of course, to many, that sounded like a far-fetched story or a straight-up lie, accusing the neighbor of theft. However, things changed when Messy visited the leasing office and looked at the camera footage. She claims in the TikTok that she actually saw two women, potentially her neighbor’s ex and her friend, outside her door. One of them grabbed the giant pink bow, according to Messy.
Neighbor Goes On ‘Unhinged’ Tirade
This appeared to confirm the neighbor’s alibi, who had already offered to pay Messy back for the bow. However, according to her, once he found out that she had reviewed the camera footage, he became “unhinged.”
The neighbor started defending his ex, calling her “a good woman,” and placing the blame on her friend. Messy and confused, he wondered why he would protect her. He had apparently confided in her that he had blocked his ex since she was a “crazy [expletive].”
He would then go on a full tirade, texting Messy to say he won’t tell the police anything. This happened even though the Ohio TikToker had already said she wouldn’t go to the police. And even if she did file a report, the neighbor “wouldn’t have a [expletive] option.” After all, he was the primary source for what had occurred.
“Anyways, he is crazy, he will be getting blocked,” Messy concluded, saying that her neighbor has yet to repay her for the stolen giant pink bow. “At this point, I don’t even want his money.”
Many users were outraged by the whole drama, which spanned multiple videos and garnered millions of views.
“POLICE REPORT. NOW,” one user commented. Another one said, “It sounds like he’s had a run in with the law before and doesn’t want those issues again.” A third one wrote, “Girl people in Columbus just steal stuff for no reason.”
Ultimately, Messy got a new bow. It was pink and big, just like the first one. Hopefully, no exes or exes’ friends will get their hands on it this time.
