Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we finally have a look at Oliver Queen’s final suit ahead of Arrow season 8. You can see that suit down below:

Personally, this looks reminiscent to Oliver’s original look back in the first season, albeit a bit brighter and with what appears to be a different type of material compared to previous iterations of the Green Arrow costume (Thankfully). And this move is a no-brainer as well. Most fans adored “The Hood” version of Oliver Queen compared to his more traditional Green Arrow gear he would get in the show’s later seasons. Giving the character one last big wardrobe change just adds to the overall hype going into the final season.

EW also spoke with Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz and Arrowverse consultant Marc Guggenheim about the upcoming season and what the crew behind the series hopes to accomplish with its final run. Schwartz said:

“Everything relates to what’s going to happen in our crossover episode, which we’ve never done before,”

Schwartz is talking about the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event, which is being hyped up as the Arrowverse’s best and most ambitious crossover yet. Guggenheim then chimed in:

“Oliver [is told] he’s going to die, so each episode in the run-up to ‘Crisis’ has Oliver dealing with the various stages of grief that come with that discovery. So the theme really is coming to terms, acceptance.”

If you are at all interested in Arrow, including the show’s origins and how they took to developing an entire superhero TV universe, then you should definitely check out the full Entertainment Weekly article.

From this new suit to the reveal of the season 8 premiere title, it seems that Arrow season 8 is going to be filled with callbacks and fan-service to those who have supported the hit CW series for the past 7-8 years. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until October to see how that plays out and if Oliver Queen really bites the dust in the ambitious “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover.

What are your thoughts on this new suit? Are you excited for the show’s final season? Let us know in the comments below!
