Once Human is relatively unique, given the fact that we can use various creatures, called Deviations to help us through the game a bit. One particular Deviation who has a knack for household chores can be obtained through the Martial God’s Home quest, given by Lowe. While pretty simple, some of the quest requires you to complete some actions that can be tricky if you haven’t attempted them before, so let’s take a look at how to complete the Martial God’s Home quest in Once Human.

To start out the Martial God’s Home quest, you’ll need to head over to Lowe, who can be found in Deadsville. Given that Deadsville is a level 2 area and the Teleportation Tower has been activated there, as long as you are in your territory, you can teleport directly there, then head inside the walls to speak with Lowe.

Given that Lowe has a knack for collecting wandering Deviations, it’s no surprise that he’ll send you off to find a unique one that he refers to as “Janitor.” Start the conversation by selecting the “This “Janitor” is… also a Deviation?” option, which will start some more dialogue exchanges with Lowe.

You will learn that this Janitor deviation has been around for a long time and it comes from a very far away place, but it holds no malice toward humans, but you should still keep an eye on it. Oddly enough, the Janitor Deviation is addicted to hygiene and housework. It only truly gets irritated when someone gets in its way. Lowe will tell you to prepare some food and water before you head off to find the Janitor, but this ends up being unnecessary.

Search for the Janitor Deviation

Next, head back into Citrus County and begin searching for the Janitor Deviation. If you track the quest from your Task menu, you can see the exact location of the Deviation. You’ll find it upstairs in a house on the Northwest side of the location.

Express Your Respect for the “Janitor”

Once you get inside, you’ll need to find the Deviation, then approach it. Once you’re close, bring up your emote menu and navigate over to your Expressions. From there, while you are standing in front of the Janitor Deviation, perform the Respect Expression.

If it works and the Deviation is happy, you will be able to secure it. However, sometimes it doesn’t work on the first try, so be sure to try again if you don’t get it the first time.

Head back to Deadsville either by running, by motorcycle, or by teleporting back from your territory and speak with Lowe again. Lowe will tell you all about this new Paper Figure Deviation, officially called Shikigami. He will allow you to keep it, which completes the Martial God’s Home quest in Once Human.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
