There are many crafting materials that you can gather in Netease’s survival game. Some can be obtained as-is from nature or scavenged while others need to be processed first before you can get them. For the latter, one that might have eluded you is the Storage Battery, which requires a high-end base facility to be produced. Nevertheless, learning how to craft a Storage Battery will be crucial for boosting your productivity in Once Human.

Storage Battery in Once Human can only be obtained via crafting using Intermediate or Advanced Supplies Workbench. The option to craft it will show up after you have unlocked the Electrical Kit Memetic node in the third row of the “Logistics” tab. You need to get the Solar Generator node first and spend 7 Ciphers and 2,000 Energy Links to unlock the node.

Crafting one Storage Battery on a Workbench requires these materials:

  • Steel Ingot x15.
  • Rubber x20.
  • Acid x20.
  • Electronic Part x10.

Iron Ore for Steel Ingot can be found around Iron River, north of Dayton Wetlands, or by assigning a Digby Boy inside a Containment Unit. Meanwhile, Rubber mostly comes from dismantling junks made from, well, rubber. Try scavenging tires from cars or running Blackfell Fallen Zone if you’re at endgame and East Blackfell Junction if you’re still in mid-game. Those spots are great for farming Electronic Parts as well.

Lastly, you also need Acid, the most important material in Once Human even when we’re not talking about crafting Storage Battery. Farming zombies and other trash mobs around Brookham is the obvious way to accumulate the material, but we have a better way. Turns out, you can craft Acid using a Synthesis Bench! Check out our Acid crafting guide for more details on this method.

Crafting Storage Battery is important for making resource-gathering items that require electricity in Once Human. For example, you’ll need it for power tools such as Chainsaw and Electric Drills. Logging and Mining Operation Platforms that can help automate your base also need it.
