Tributes continue to pour in for Liam Payne as fans and loved ones weep for a star gone too soon. Anne Twist, the mom of former member Harry Styles, honored the One Direction alum in an Instagram post. Twist shared a picture of a giant broken heart emoji on a black background and captioned it, “Just a boy …,” with another broken heart emoji.
Her post received thousands of comments from fans, who urged her to take care of her son and the other members following Payne’s tragic loss. “Anne, take care of yourself, and please take care of our Harry for us! Mental health is everything! We love you,” an individual penned. Others echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Please take care of the boys. Stay together,” “Take care of Harry for us,” and “Take care of each other.”
Twist spent significant time with Payne after he rose to fame alongside Harry, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. They formed the group after participating in “The X Factor” in 2010 and finishing in third place. Some of the show’s stars similarly penned tributes to Payne, with host Dermot O’Leary sharing a throwback picture of the pair on Instagram. He captioned the black-and-white shot:
“The worst news. I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing.”
“He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble. Sending love and prayers to his family. Dx,” O’Leary concluded. The band’s former hair and makeup stylist, Lou Teasdale, echoed her love for 1D on her Instagram Story with the words, “I hope you’re all ok,” alongside a broken heart emoji.
Liam Payne Allegedly Displayed Erratic Behavior Before His Death
911 transcripts indicate authorities were alerted about an emergency at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The hotel’s manager placed the call around 5 PM on Wednesday, October 16. When the operator asked what the problem was, the manager claimed there was a guest “who is overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol.”
It was alleged that Payne was breaking up his room on the third floor apart and needed assistance stopping him. When the operator questioned if the guest was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, the manager doubled down on their allegations. They claimed the situation was urgent, expressing concerns for the guest’s life as he had locked himself inside his room for two or three days.
The manager stressed that hotel staff could not access the guest’s room and implored cops to come quickly. By the time help arrived, the singer had fallen from his hotel balcony and crashed into the deck below, per TMZ. Cops have since launched an investigation into the cause of Liam Payne’s death.
