One of Hulu’s biggest comedies is getting a new addition from one of CBC’s most popular comedies. Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy will join the cast of Only Murders in the Building season 4 as a recurring character. He joins leading stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Meryl Streep will reprise her season 3 character. Other newcomers include Eva Longoria and Molly Shannon.

Not much is known about the next season of the Emmy-winning series. It will have some episodes set in Los Angeles as Martin, Short, and Gomez’s characters are on a trip before they go back to their home in New York. Eugene Levy’s character in Only Murders in the Building is currently under wraps.

The latest addition, who was originally reported to join the series from Variety, adds to the trend that the Hulu murder mystery comedy has had since its debut. It has often had major A-listers and legends appear as cameos or significant roles like Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Paul Rudd, Amy Schumer, and more.

Releasing in 2021, the Martin and John Hoffman-created series has put in the work to release consistent seasons. Its popular word-of-mouth buzz keeps giving it the green light from Hulu to continue creating mysteries and hilarious moments for its characters. In that time, it has won four Emmys, including an award for guest star Nathan Lane.

Starring in Only Murders in the Building makes for a great post-Schitt’s move for Eugene Levy. He also has a movie in the works with Summer Camp, a comedy with Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, and Diane Keaton.

No date has been set for the fourth season, but the series will return this year.
