The clip has circulated widely on social media, where viewers have been debating whether the customer was justified in stepping in during the situation.
The video, originally shared on social media and later reposted to TikTok, shows two men arguing inside what appears to be Tiny Bubbles Laundromat in Liverpool, NY.
In the clip, a man wearing an orange shirt can be heard confronting the owner after he says he witnessed the employee being spoken to disrespectfully.
At one point in the exchange, the customer warns the owner that the situation could end up being shared online.

He goes on to say that the interaction could be posted on social media and potentially harm the business if people saw how employees were being treated.
According to the caption accompanying the video, the person filming claims the argument began after he saw the owner cursing at an employee in front of customers.
The caption also states that police were eventually called to the scene and advised the man to leave the laundromat.
