It feels good to see people coming together for a common cause. Apparently, the newest cause is hating on Disney. After the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel and Disney’s attack on free speech, this is more than warranted. An Oregon man now outlines how Disney is only going to suffer for the decisions they made. With people canceling their subscriptions to total boycotts, they have something to fear. One woman even canceled her Disney wedding – to the tune of $150,000!
Scoosh (@scotttie1) posted on TikTok, “Someone CANCELED a $150K Disney Wedding?!” He responded to a reply from a previous video that said, “There’s a lady on here who canceled her $150K Disney wedding. Dozens of people who canceled cruises & Disney vacations…I don’t think Disney had an iota of a clue.” Scoosh laughs as he says, “She was not playing. She said take my money back, thank you! Don’t be trying to silence me, honey.”
This is exactly the type of attitude we have to have toward big companies to make a difference. It makes a bold statement for somebody to cancel something as serious as an expensive wedding to have their say in this vital matter. It’s a great example of somebody putting their money where their mouth is, and I live for it.
Some commenters shared that they canceled their Disney+ subscriptions and Disney credit cards. One person even stated, “I saw another one where someone canceled their $75,000 Disney wedding and is taking the family to Mexico instead.” Someone else stated, “Disney lost 3.6 billion already and that’s NOT ENOUGH!!!!! KEEP GOING!!!” Even a travel agent spoke up, whose commission money likely comes from Disney trips. She said, “As a Disney travel agent I’m happy to see it. I’m sick of the cow towing to republicans enough is enough. Anyone that isn’t mad about this doesn’t love America like they say.”
Disney has always been overpriced and $150,000 just to have a wedding there is insane. But pulling out of major decisions like this will definitely cost the company. Hopefully, this is the bold statement they need to realize that their decision went against basic American rights…and the fans aren’t happy.
