Not long after David Harbour was announced for the Gran Turismo movie, Orlando Bloom was cast in the adaption of the popular video game series. Neill Blomkamp (District 9) will direct the film from the script penned by Jason Hall (American Sniper) and Will Dunn (Ms. Marvel). Archie Madekwe (Midsommar) will also star.
The film follows the real story of a player of the PlayStation racing game who became a real racing driver after completing several Nissan competitions. While details are under wraps about Orlando Bloom, David Harbour in Gran Turismo will play a retired driver who takes the boy under his wing to teach him the ways of a race car driver.
Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, Doug Belgrad, and Dana Brunetti will produce. The creator of the game, Kazunori Yamauchi, will executive produce with Hall.
