Fingernails may not seem as important as other organs in the human body, but losing one is still very painful. Normally, nothing happens to them, but a terrible incident befell a TikToker named porky1235. The woman didn’t speak in the short videos she shared, but with just one glance, it was clear what had happened. It seemed the California woman was trying to open her Tesla door when, somehow, it caught her thumbnail and ripped it off. Yes. Ripped it off. Exposing the flesh underneath.
Just looking at the wound is enough to make anyone flinch. One can only imagine the pain the California woman is experiencing. In the video, you can even see her nail still stuck in the crevice of the Tesla door. Surprisingly, it didn’t bleed much, but there’s no doubt the wound was extremely painful. The woman wrote that she couldn’t even bend her thumb due to the pain.
The woman also uploaded a second video in which she showed a close-up image of her nail after the incident. Safe to say it didn’t look pretty. However, it was healing, and it was likely that she would eventually regain her nail. The California woman even uploaded a third video where she jokingly showed the new method she has been using to open her Tesla. Instead of using her poor thumb again, she used her sunglasses to open the door.
TikTok users who watched the video couldn’t help but feel the woman’s pain. “My soul left my body with yours,” one user commented. Others even tried to give some tips on how to treat the wound, with one user suggesting that she take 10,000mg of biotin so the nail would regrow in three to four months. “I thought that was a Russian manicure,” another user joked.
One user replied to the video, saying that she had experienced the same thing. The California woman quickly responded, asking whether her nail grew back. Luckily, it did, but she said it took three months. “I just lathered it with a thick layer of Vaseline and covered it with gauze and a bandage twice a day to keep it from drying out and scabbing,” the user said.
Although most people remained sympathetic, some comments became rather heated. “Your first mistake was getting a Tesla,” one user said, expressing their dislike for the brand. While it may seem strange, there has been a growing dislike for Tesla due to Elon Musk’s recent actions. The situation escalated to the point where Trump even intervened, stating that it was illegal to boycott Tesla.
