Everyone has been eagerly waiting for the release of Season 5 in Overwatch, and well, it is finally here. Besides bringing a long-awaited hero, it also brings a brand-new battle pass with several rewards and a really interesting way to get those cosmetics and other goodies. So, in case you don’t know what awaits you in this early spooky season of the hero shooter, here’s everything coming with Season 5.
Doctrine Joins the Fight
Many of us already knew Doctrine would be making his debut in Season 5 of Overwatch, but he really came into the game in a regal and epic way.
Despite his vampire-like looks, Doctrine is actually a support hero, and an excellent one at that. He is capable of healing and attacking enemies at mid-range, while also providing teammates with an overhealth effect and buffs, making him a must-have hero in almost every team. You can even grab some perks that let his attacks heal you for a percentage of the damage you deal or even sacrifice your HP to heal more.
And since he fits the bill of a spooky and mysterious character, the battle pass of Overwatch Season 5 follows that style.

This new battle pass, with several tracks you can activate at one time to pursue different rewards, brings some spooky costumes to many of our beloved heroes. As you can see in the image, we have Ghostly Belle Ashe, Jack O’ Ripper Soldier: 76, Ghost Bride Mei, Bat Empress Junker Queen, and Autumn Fox Zenyatta. The great thing is that you can choose which skins to unlock first, giving you a lot of freedom in how to tackle each character’s cosmetics.
And for those who want a blast from the past, you will see some Unvaulted Passes, which you can make progress toward. And for those worried about not having enough experience for all, don’t worry; you’ll be able to work on one past pass and the current one at the same time.
As you can see, Season 5 is packed with things to do and experience, and most importantly, collect. Whether you want to get the passes that got away or start getting into some spooky spirit, now’s the perfect time. And, of course, you can also use Doctrine now, who is certainly one of the most unique support heroes we’ve seen in the game in a while.
