Overwatch‘s next character-based event is live right now, and it puts one of their original DPS at the head. Symmetra’s Restoration Challenge will run until November 30th, and there are plenty of goodies to be won.

Per usual, nines items overall can be received through in-game wins. Three wins will gift the player the Marammat Symmetra Overwatch player icon, six wins guarantee the Marammat Symmetra spray and nine wins result in the exciting new skin (which can be seen below!).

By watching participating in Overwatch streams, players can also unlock up to six event-inspired sprays. The sprays are unlocked by watching streams after linking your Twitch and Blizzard accounts.

Eager fans will also see that a new short story, “Stone By Stone”, is available for your reading pleasure on Blizzard’s site. Written by Christia Golden, this story focuses on Zenyatta and Symmetra:

When Vishkar Corporation inadvertently destroys a sacred statue of Aurora, the first sentient omnic, the brilliant hard-light architect Satya Vaswani—known also as Symmetra—is sent in to avert a PR disaster. She’s been instructed to give the village whatever it wants—but she doesn’t know what that might be. When she accepts Tekhartha Zenyatta’s invitation to stay at the temple and learn about Aurora and the omnic faith, Symmetra embarks on a journey of understanding, compassion, and acceptance that results in the perfectly imperfect gift to the village, to Zenyatta… and to herself.

Symmetra’s Restoration Challenge will run in Overwatch from November 17th to November 30th. The next event will be their Winter event, which has not received an official start date as of this writing.

Are you looking forward to Symmetra’s challenge? What other Overwatch characters are you hoping will get their own event in the next year? Let us know in the comments below, and keep coming back to The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
