A visibly upset Texas mother shared her frustrations online, warning others not to have any children and even calling her son the “biggest setback in my life.” While many empathized with her, some of the internet found the situation hilarious.
The mother, Rani, posted the nearly 4-minute clip on TikTok. In tears, she told parents online to have the possibilities of conceiving a child with disabilities in mind when thinking about having kids. If not, Rani said, “Do not have kids.”
Why was she so upset? Because of the mess her son had made. She explained that she sometimes leaves her son to play by himself in a small bouncy castle and with his toys. However, this time around, Rani’s son decided to have some “extra” fun with the house. First red flag? He was “way too quiet,” according to the Texas mother.
The culprit in question then ran across the camera, as a can opener, a bag of cashews, and the cashews themselves were spread across the floor. The floor itself was wet, as Rani’s son had mixed water and cashews in a blender. The mess was a result of his mixing ambitions, as he failed to put the cashew/water in a plate and hit the floor instead. Some believed he wanted to make cashew milk, but to no avail.
“I’m tired,” Rani said, with tears streaming down her cheeks as she explained that she has no help and ends up being with her son 24/7. Again, she insisted that parents should have no kids if they don’t have a support system in place.
Clip Goes Viral, Internet Does Its Thing
The Texas woman’s clip garnered 250K likes and 25K comments, quickly going viral. Many users empathized with the woman’s struggle, as parenthood is many things, but easy isn’t one of them.
“Girl, register him in a DAYCARE ASAP, you need a nap!” one user suggested. Another one said, “You just need a break…. That’s all momma.” A third one added, “This is a cry for help, and I sincerely pray this lady gets help soon for both their sake!“
However, a significant portion of the internet found the whole situation hilarious. Some laughed at how Rani’s son ran across the camera, while others told her that her son was just being a regular child.
“Him still running around in the video is sending me,” one user said. Another one wrote, “All children do this kind of stuff.” A third one commented, “You knew the support system you had before u have birth. It’s not his fault.”
Thankfully, many others defended the Texas mother, making her feel seen, with one person saying, “She needs help, and y’all are joking?” If all goes well, she will have the support she needs to raise her son and not break down in the process.
