How Michael Jackson’s Daughter Spent The Anniversary Of His Death
Per DailyMail, Paris, 25, stepped out on Sunday with her beloved Doberman pooch named Koa along the streets of West Hollywood. The Beverly Hills native headed out in dark blue skinny jeans with a cut on both knees and a tan-patterned jacket worn over a black t-shirt.
She paired the look with black sneakers and large-frame sunglasses. She styled her long brown hair in a tousled all-black look. Koa appeared to have a dark rein over the front of his body and a blue bandana around his neck.
Paris was on tour for about one month before returning to Los Angeles. She and her band are slated to resume touring on July 8 and 9, according to her website. They are expected to play until August 29 and then take a break before performing in Los Angeles on October 6.
How Paris Fared After Michael Died
Legendary pop star Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, from cardiac arrest caused by a propofol and benzodiazepine overdose. Following his death, investigators discovered that his physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered various medications to help him sleep at his rented mansion in Holmby Hills in Los Angeles.
Paris was just 11 years old when she received the heartbreaking news of her father’s death. In a Rolling Stone interview in 2017, the Let-Down singer revealed that contrary to the famous saying, time did not heal the hurt of her father’s death. Within four years of Michael Jackson’s passing, Paris struggled with depression, drug addiction, and self-harming. At 15, she attempted suicide by slashing her wrist and downing 20 Motrin pills.
Ten years after those dark times, Paris is doing great with a career in rock music. She recently released her single Band-Aid. She also released a batch of new songs in 2022. A few years ago, she was part of the musical duo The Sunflowers alongside Gabriel Glenn.
