Fighting for a parking spot is never a pleasant experience. But that does not make it acceptable for someone to escalate the situation into threats and intimidation. For one Colorado mother, a seemingly minor parking dispute turned into a confrontation with a racist couple who took things far beyond reason. It all began when the couple’s car and the mother’s car ended up parked too close to each other. Words were exchanged, and the couple quickly began making threats, saying they would call ICE on her and even claiming they would shoot her. The woman driving, later identified as April, got out of her vehicle at one point and approached the Colorado mother, who was recording the incident from inside her own car.
The mother asked April what she was trying to do by coming so close. April shot back by asking what she was doing. The mother replied that she was recording because she had every right to. In a strange twist, the racist woman leaned into the camera, gave a mocking wave, and said, “Hi, my name’s April,” as if she were posing for a greeting rather than in the middle of a heated exchange. Thankfully, things did not escalate further physically, though the mother had to repeatedly tell April to leave her alone and return to her car.
But the drama did not end there. Not long afterward, April uploaded an apology video online, likely in response to the backlash she received after the footage spread. In the video, she revealed that she had been fired from her job at Sunset and had ended her relationship with the man in the video, saying he packed up his belongings and left. She also insisted there was no gun in the car, although she admitted they had a knife.
April tried to distance herself from the worst of the behavior, claiming she was not racist and that only the man had used racial slurs. However, viewers were quick to point out that during the confrontation she had done nothing to stop him and instead had thrown her middle finger at the Colorado mother while he made the remarks.
Reddit users were unimpressed with her apology, describing it as insincere. One user wrote, “The deplorables feel emboldened nowadays… We are domestic terrorists they’ve boldly proclaimed some time ago. There’s nothing wrong with the Nazi salute they’ve said. Racism is ok if it’s not against white people they’ve said… Seeing a pattern here?”
Others remarked that this Colorado couple was a textbook example of MAGA supporters who back Trump not for his policies but because they crave a sense of power they have never had. One Redditor said, “You see the shit-eating grin after he said ‘we will call ICE on you’? That’s why these people voted for Trump, they do not care about his policies. They just want what they have never had, power.”
