You know how people are always telling others what they should do with their lives? Yeah, well, they should probably stop doing that. One Karen decided she was going to butt into someone’s life when they were making one of the biggest decisions for themselves and their future: getting an abortion. Now, a comedian from Pennsylvania responded to her video in the most hilarious way, and he has some good points.
Comedian Corey O’Brien (@corey_obrien on TikTok) responded to a video posted by Lydia Taylor Davis, where she said, “Just helped a pregnant mom cancel her abortion appointment and choose life.” She then happily stares up to the heavens as she goes on to say, “Can’t believe I literally get to save babies.” This is super fitting for Lydia, whose TikTok virtually states, “Being pro-life is my entire personality.”
However, Corey obviously believes that women should be able to make this choice for themselves without interference. He hilariously responds to her video by saying, “I remember when my mom told me that she actually almost aborted me. And I was really sad to hear that because why the f**k didn’t you?” Corey captioned his video with, “Ugh, life is so expensive!” He makes a good point there.
Commenters replied not just to Corey on his hilarious stance, but also to Lydia and the way she likely just changed the outcome for a woman’s life just because she didn’t like the choice she was about to make. One commenter stated, “She most likely went to another clinic lol.” Lydia Davis herself actually replied to this comment and said, “As the girl in the vid, nope, she’s due in January and doing great :).” Several people asked her if she was going to support the baby and she replied, “Yep! Raised thousands of dollars for her, am throwing her a baby shower, and am helping provide her with a year’s worth of free diapers.”
But does Lydia know raising a baby is so much more than some diapers and a cute, little baby shower? Does she know estimates show the annual cost of raising a child is more than $20,000? Oh, that’s right. Pro-life people like Lydia don’t care. They want to see the pregnancy through to fruition but then they’ll drop the mother like a hot potato and call it a done deal. And this is exactly the point Corey is trying to make, in the least morbid way.
Other commenters also pointed out the hypocrisy of these pro-life individuals. One person said, “Literally when their argument is ‘what if your mom aborted you?’ I’m like I WOULDN’T KNOW. IT WOULDN’T AFFECT ME.” Another pointed out, “they’re pro life until the woman chooses her life.” And that’s a good point. Really, what right does anyone have to butt into a decision like abortion?
