Yet another television adaptation of a video game is on its way. Persona 5 The Animation was announced today through Twitter and will release sometime in 2018. Atlus announced that animation studio, A-1 Pictures, will helm the project, who you may know from Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online.
This isn’t the first time the Persona series has been adapted to another medium. The Persona 3 story was retold through a four part movie adaption and Persona 4 produced two separate television series.
This is also not the only television adaptation of a video game announced in the last few months. A Splatoon Anime will release on August 12th on CoroCoro’s Youtube channel and Frederator Studio will bring a Costume Quest series to Amazon in 2018. The Frederator website has acknowledged the roles of the following individuals within the series. Pat Mchale (Adventure Time) is set to direct the first episode, with Zac Gorman (Uncle Grandpa) designing and writing the majority of the characters. Digital eMation Inc. (Robotboy, Dante’s Inferno) is handling the animation. The series cast includes Rob Paulsen (Animaniacs), Frank Welker (Aladdin), Sinclair Dumont (Bonnie & Clyde), Aidan Sussman (Argo), Issac Ryan Brown (Black-ish), Allie Urrutia (The Adventures of Lucy), Kevin Michael Richardson (The Animatrix), and Sam Marin (Adventure Time).

With clever writing, likable characters, and fast-paced battle sequences, Castlevania is something that fans, new and old, can sink their teeth into. For a short time, anyway.”
