When it comes to gaming, music can be such an essential part of creating a unique experience. Atlus Games has always taken special care into ensuring their music in games is exceptional and brings its own atmosphere to the world they try to portray. In response, fans of Atlus’ Persona series have always had a strong affinity for its music. Blending genres and smoothing it over the JRPG gameplay fits extremely well.
This cult following of Persona soundtracks has reverberated through the community as high-quality versions and actually complete soundtracks can be hard to find. Thankfully for Persona fans, this should be a thing of the past. Atlus has seemingly been warming up to the idea of bringing their properties into modern spaces. Recently announced on Twitter by AniPlaylist, soundtracks from Persona 2 through Persona 5 will be uploaded to Spotify with select music from the series rhythm game spinoff as well.

Despite Persona 5’s original soundtrack already being on iTunes in certain regions; it’s great to see such an extensive list coming to Spotify. It’s interesting to see more of Persona’s musical history be digitally preserved on streaming services. This is certainly some exciting news for Persona fans as this year has largely remained dormant for Atlus Games. Despite re-releasing Persona 4 Golden on Steam to such success, fans know what Atlus has yet to show. Perhaps with the title’s newfound success on the platform, Atlus might want to pay closer attention to their growing install base on other platforms. With more soundtracks being added, it’s not a stretch to suggest that Atlus could be planning more rereleases. With the teased Shin Megami Tensei 5 coming to Switch, there’s a lot to look forward to from Atlus in this coming year.
