In just about any sport, you can bet that there will be cheaters, and sadly for one real estate expert in Miami, Florida, her opponent in a Jiu-Jitsu match wasn’t much of a fighter, as she was a biter, literally. So while the real estate expert won the match despite the cheating opponent who kept biting her, it left some rather memorable marks and a weird stain on her victory.
Ana Bozovic of Florida is the winner in question, and she recently competed in the Naga Jiu-Jitsu tournament held in Miami. Her opponent was a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt whom Bozovic described as a “bully,” partly because she was 20 pounds bigger than her. Bozovic, based on the clip of the Jiu-Jitsu match and her testimony, was the clear winner from the start, but her opponent seems to have gotten desperate during a takedown and bit her in the arm, even though “she did not do it on purpose”.
After getting up, it appears the referees stopped the fight and were bewildered at what happened to Bozovic’s forearm, which now has bite marks on it. Even though Bozovic was winning, the referees still disqualified her opponent from the fight, likely from seeing the bite marks– something they reacted to strongly, “He called over the head ref, who when he saw my arm said ‘what the f* is that?'”
As for Bozovic’s arm, it appears to have healed already, and no infection occurred. This odd victory hasn’t deterred her from moving on to bigger martial arts tournaments, such as the ADCC Trials 2025. Some of Bozovic’s commenters, however, were about as skeptical as her as multiple bite marks were telltale signs of repeated efforts.
People online were mocking the biter
Further testimonies from Bozovic reveal that her opponent might have been a serial bully in the Florida Jiu-Jitsu women’s club, “And multiple women reached out thanking me. Apparently she tries to bully and hurt women in training,” according to Bozovic in a reply. Hence, her opponent became the subject of ridicule online, with some people questioning how she got the brown belt in the first place.
“Unacceptable sportsmanship! She should be barred from ever participating in the sport. This could’ve been much worse,” says an X commenter. “Damn someone was hungry to win 😬” jokes another X user, with another echoing the sentiment, “How make bites does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of your jujitsu opponent? Let’s find out.”
So far, Bozovic hasn’t name-dropped her opponent, as she likely didn’t need to anyway since she was already winning. Granted, it’s not the first time a Jiu-Jitsu fighter who “acted out”. Earlier in the year, a black belter even caused a scene and went viral on the internet for getting into an argument on an airplane and losing.
