Each year, it seems Phasmophobia‘s Halloween events are simply a copy of the previous year’s events. This year, however, with the Blood Moon event in full swing, there are quite a few differences, along with the option for some much more desirable rewards. Since this year’s event is a community event, you won’t be the only one working to unlock rewards for everyone, so there’s a bit of a higher chance that you’ll be able to get your hands on these goodies, and maybe even see some of the event’s weather effects after the Blood Moon has departed. Now that the Blood Moon is rising, let’s take a look at the Phasmophobia 2024 Halloween event, how to complete it, and what the rewards are.

The Blood Moon event is this year’s Halloween activity in Phas, but it’s a bit different than previous years have been. The concept is pretty simple: Head inside each cursed location, complete investigations and optional objectives by identifying the correct ghost type and following your Journal and the truck board, and take loads of photos of Blood Altars.

Everything you do earns you Blood Points, which are added to track your progress in the event. During the event, whenever you’re in a cursed location, the ghosts will be stronger than in the other maps. This is an instance where it might be quite beneficial to take advantage of the Cursed Possessions located on each map if you’re lucky enough. However, this year, your blood points aren’t just for you. Kinetic Games decided to make the Blood Moon event a community event this year, so all the Blood Points you and others earn will be added together to unlock three different tiers of rewards.

Each of the rewards, locations, and requirements for completion can be found on the new Event Board. There, you can track your progress, along with the community progress toward each of the Blood Moon stages, and see how close you are to getting each reward.

This year, there are only four maps that will include the Halloween event, including one new map that was added since the last Blood Moon Event. You will be able to participate in the Blood Moon on:

  • 42 Edgefield Road
  • Grafton Farmhouse
  • 13 Willow Street
  • Point Hope

Keep in mind that even though some of these maps are relatively easy, the ghosts will be much more difficult to escape. They’ll be faster and stronger, so keeping your wits about you and hiding spots open is essential.

All Rewards

There are three stages to the Blood Moon event in total, each giving a different reward. After you’ve completed each stage, you’ll need to interact with the Blood Altar in the Warehouse to collect each reward.

  • Stage 1
    • Blood Moon ID Card
  • Stage 2
    • Upgraded ID Card
  • Stage 3
    • Blood Moon Trophy

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
