A man and his friends in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have recently garnered hate online and also drawn the attention of the police after filming themselves while they assaulted and harassed a handful of homeless people in the city. One of them can even be seen throwing stuff at homeless people, pulling their blankets off, and also shouting at them to “get a job.” Thankfully, the man, who went by Phillyboyeem, has been identified and arrested just recently.
The video was uploaded by Phillyboyeem’s friend group, as they walked around the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where around six homeless people sought refuge. The group filmed Phillyboyeem, later identified as 27-year-old Naeem Morgan, as he assaulted and harassed the six homeless people around the convention center. Morgan can be seen throwing projectiles at their heads and even insulting them.
The video was shot and uploaded back on July 4 and has since gone viral, which helped draw the attention of local law enforcement. The police then managed to track down Naeem Morgan and promptly arrested him on Saturday. Now, Morgan is facing several charges, including assault and harassment.
It’s not clear yet whether Morgan’s friends are involved in the crime or not though it appears not much harm came to the six homeless Philadelphia locals, apart from what Morgan did to them in the video. Regardless, many people online have voiced out their concerns and anger against Morgan, with some likely even helping the police track him down.
He Could’ve Just Filmed Himself Helping Them For Clout
It’s also not clear what exactly Naeem Morgan wanted to achieve by assaulting and harassing homeless people, but it’s likely done for online clout or attention and perhaps to look “cool” in front of his friends. As you can imagine, however, this stunt got Morgan ostracized online, and the arrest certainly proved that what little “fun” they had during the video wasn’t worth it.
Meanwhile, people online were still cursing Morgan even as he was already facing his charges. Some were of the opinion that it wasn’t just Morgan at fault here, but also his friends, for possibly encouraging the behavior.
“I hope horrible things happen to him. And his friends who encourage this,” says Top-Phrase-623
“This some baddddd karma,” according to the_truth000
“This piece of shit should have dripped down his mother’s leg instead,” curses ike301
Thankfully, more people were defending the homeless ones that Morgan assaulted and harassed. They were already suffering enough and didn’t need a clout chaser and group clown ruining their night.
“‘get a job’? People with jobs are homeless for fucks sake. This is some real entitled bullsh*t,” fumes Rude_Influence
“I see several counts of agg assult, and accessory to agg assult. They should all be doing time soon. Quick question, does he have a job, or is this it? He should take his own advice,” asks Life_Ad_1522
