Time to get your Pikmin on, earlier than expected. Earlier today, Nintendo of America announced on their official Twitter that a demo version of the upcoming Pikmin 3 Deluxe will hit the eShop tonight. The demo will feature a save-transfer once the full game releases.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe Features Save Transfer, Ultra-Spicy Difficulty for Full Release
Completing the demo gives you access to the Ultra-Spicy difficulty, and some other bonuses once the full game releases. The Ultra-Spicy difficulty limits the number of Pikmin one can have to 60, so you will have to strategize to make use of your color choices.
Pikmin 3 was first released on the Wii U back in 2013. Like many games released on the Wii U, they have slowly made their way onto the more popular Nintendo Switch. Even more Wii U games are on the way for Switch. The severely underrated Super Mario 3D World will make its way to the Switch in February 2021, with new Bowser’s Fury DLC.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe not only includes all the content in the original game, but also new side content and DLC missions. This updated version also allows players to progress through the main campaign and DLC content with a friend in cooperative modes.
The Demo Will Release Later This Evening
The demo is not available yet, but given Nintendo said it would be up this evening it is only a matter of time. The full game comes in at over 6GBs to download, so you might need to clear out some space in storage for the demo. Pikmin 3 Deluxe will release on October 30, the spookiest of all game releases. Until then, we’ll have to settle for a bite-sized chunk of Pikmin for now. To learn more about Pikmin 3 Deluxe, click here.
