So, read on to find out how Glow Pikmin can help you with Night Expeditions in Pikmin 4.
Pikmin 4 Night Expeditions Explained
Pikmin 4 features Night Expeditions, a new mode in which you can see the world of Pikmin from a different, darker side. At night, all Pikmin hide, as the monsters may become frenzied creatures. In this state, their eyes turn red, and their strength increases. And you have to survive the night fighting them to get the reward.
You can unlock Night Expeditions after encountering an NPC named Yonny. This Rescue Corps Doctor will tell you that Glow Sap can be earned at night. This resource is needed to cure Leaflings, so you will need a lot.
To get these Glow Sap, you must survive the night. More precisely, you need to destroy all enemies or defend the Lumiknoll. This glowing structure is something like an Onion but for Glow Pikmin.
Glow Pikmin in Pikmin 4 are the only type of Pikmin available to you at night. Fortunately, they are immune to most hazards and are quite strong. At the start of Night Expedition in Pikmin 4, you will receive some Glow Pikmin. However, you will need an army to deal with all the enemies. Therefore, look for Glow Pellets, aka Glow Seeds, in the location and bring them to Lumiknoll or Trickknolls to get even more Glow Pikmin.
Pikmin 4 Night Expeditions Tips and Tricks
- At the beginning of the night, you should focus on collecting Glow Pellets around. The bigger you grow your Glow Pikmin army, the better.
- Don’t forget to walk past the Trickknolls to activate them and lure the enemies. However, we do not recommend using them all as bait, as it will make it harder for you to create Glow Pikmin.
- Command Oatchi to guard Lumiknoll so you can safely explore the area.
- Since Night Expeditions occur in the same locations as Day Expeditions, you can safely remove obstacles during the day.
- Watch out for enemies on the mini-map, so you can catch them before they get to your Lumiknoll.
