Pikmin 4 Standard Edition
Nintendo has confirmed only one edition for Pikmin 4. Players can only purchase the Standard Edition of Pikmin 4. The Standard Edition only comes with the game and is priced at $59.99. Nintendo currently doesn’t offer any pre-order bonuses for the Standard Edition, meaning gamers get nothing for ordering the game before release. Fans can pre-order the Standard Edition of Pikmin 4 on all major retail chains and the Nintendo eShop.
Walmart Pre-Order Bonus for Pikmin 4
While Nintendo doesn’t offer any pre-order incentive to convince fans to get the game early, retail chain Walmart does have a pre-order bonus. If players pre-order a physical copy of the Standard Edition of Pikmin 4 at Walmart, they will be rewarded with a free stainless steel water bottle themed around Pikmin.
The stainless steel bottle will only be available while supplies last, and purchasers need to make sure to add the version of Pikmin 4 with the bottle in their cart. The cost for pre-ordering Pikmin 4 with the stainless steel water bottle in Walmart is the same as the price of a typical Standard Edition – $59.99. The Walmart version of the game is ostensibly the better deal, as players get the game and a Pikmin-themed water bottle.
Pikmin 4 brings back Captain Olimar, a tiny man who lands on a strange world filled with weird creatures and giant vegetation. Olimar uses plant-like creatures known as Pikmin to aid in his survival, using them for various purposes. In Pikmin 4, a Rescue Corps goes out to locate Olimar after he crashed on another mysterious planet. Fans create a player avatar who has to find Olimar and the Rescue Corps by using Pikmin.
Pikmin 4 will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game will launch on July 21.
