It’s been a while since we saw anything about the PlayStation Access Controller, and thankfully, we finally have a release date for it. The new controller made by Sony will bring many accessibility options for people who require them. This new device will give them 30 options and three profiles they can swap anytime while playing. This is a huge step in accessibility, which we know Sony has been pushing in many of its new first-party titles. Now there’s a dedicated controller for this, and it will be a game-changer for many people who want a more comfortable and accessible way to play video games.

Access Controller - Features Trailer | PS5

Anyone who wants to get their hands on the new PlayStation Access Controller for PS5 will have to wait for the release date of December 6. However, pre-orders begin on July 21 on the official PlayStation Direct website and with certain retailers. This is fantastic as many have been waiting for this new device that’ll let much more people enjoy video games. As mentioned, this device will feature several profiles that players can swap at any moment and plenty of accessories you can buy separately to customize it further.

The device will cost $89.99 and, as mentioned, will feature more accessories sold separately to improve everyone’s gaming experience. It is uncertain how much these accessories will cost, but we can expect an update in the coming months about them.

Having these accessibility options is something that people worldwide are praising. Gaming has become a huge industry, and many people want to experience some of the best products it has. While this controller will only work on PS5, we hope other companies catch wind of this and start working on their own devices to make gaming fun for everyone.
