Tracking score has always been a significant milestone for gaming. While it originates from the arcade, in a modern sense, we view it as an achievement. The milestones present in almost every game or console system provide even more for players to complete. Long gone are the days of a stagnant scoreboard and system. The landmarks took a foothold if not already present in plenty of other games. Yet, when PlayStation took their leap into a new generation with the PS3, so did their player stat tracking. Earning a trophy for completing specific objectives in a game is standard nowadays. It brought a certain amount of satisfaction for reaching that far in the game. Playing all the way through would grant a multitude of them until the player collected the platinum trophy. While these have been present in all PlayStations, Sony wants to bring this feature to its retro library. Announced by Bend Studio, Syphon Filter will be one of the first games to support PS Plus classic game PlayStation trophies.

Considering the library of titles players will have access to, it’s not a stretch to believe most will have trophies to earn. While the subtweet showcases what the platinum will look like, players will have to play through the game to find out how much there is to complete in order to unlock all trophies.
