As of November 2nd, PlayStation Now subscribers will have access to four new games: Mafia: Definitive Edition, Celeste, Final Fantasy IX, and Totally Reliable Delivery Service. This is on top of the hundreds of games in the PlayStation Now back catalogue, so if you’re not busy enough getting through them already, these new additions should keep you plenty occupied. Let’s take a look at each of them in the PlayStation Now November update!
Mafia: Definitive Edition
Revisit Tommy Angelo and his buddies in 1930s Los Angeles – I mean, “Lost Heaven” – as you climb your way through the ranks of organized crime in this remastered edition. Initially released last year, the definitive edition looks great, and includes some additional cutscenes and extra content. Do you like sweet trench coats and hats, wise guys, and one-liners like: “your neck’s gotta be achin’ from all that lookin’ over your shoulder you’re doin'”? Then you’re in luck!
Celeste
Celeste is amazing. The pixelated indie platformer came out in early 2018 and quickly captured the hearts and injured the thumbs of players everywhere. A touching story of battling one’s own inner demons while trying to get to the top of a mountain, Celeste is full of charming visuals and interesting gameplay mechanics. While the main story won’t test your gaming chops too much, the optional challenges in the form of B-side levels are some of the toughest out there (seriously, I think I broke a Joy-Con trying to get through some of those).
Final Fantasy IX
Released way back in the year 2000, Final Fantasy IX is a generally well-regarded entry in the series and is worth a look if you haven’t given it a try. It’s been released in a few different formats over the past 20 years, but now you can also play it on the PlayStation. So head on back to the Mist Continent and show that nasty Queen Brahne who’s boss.
Totally Reliable Delivery Service
Grab some friends and some packages as you ragdoll yourself around a cartoony world full of people who need to move but apparently don’t read Google reviews. Or you could just forget the packages and push your friends out of a hot air balloon instead. Your call.
PlayStation Now games might not always be available – Mafia: Definitive Edition is only available until the end of February 2022 – so you might want to start accepting some of those offers you can’t refuse.
