This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

PlayStation has always made an effort to showcase its slew of upcoming titles every summer. Traditionally, Sony would attend E3 and give a big presentation full of spectacle. In the latter years of the events in person-years, Sony was known to make a big showing. For some of their more unique experiences coming as exclusives, the company would go all in to market it. Yet, this all changed come 2019 when the company announced its absence from both the expo booth and presentation experience. Since the event never truly felt the same without PlayStation’s presence at the show. With the 2020 world state effectively closing all in-person events for some time, E3 faced a massive issue. An issue that we are seeing the true ramifications of today. Since the event shuttered its digital experience this year, the questions of where studios will end up have been mounting heavily. With most doors pointing to the Summer Games Fest planned for June 9th, Sony is finally giving up its announcement date. In a new tweet, PlayStation finally announced the all-new June 2022 State of Play, debuting next week.

State of Play returns next week! Tune in live at 3pm PT on June 2 for reveals, announcements, and more: https://t.co/3lqi9GL9VZ pic.twitter.com/NLLTAgvgLY
