Sony might be holding a surprise PlayStation State of Play Event before the end of January, and this was leaked by some reliable people. According to multiple sources, one of which is Nick Baker, we might be in for a live stream of a State of Play event sometime “roughly” around January 31.
The live stream is planned to host some big titles such as Kojima Production’s Death Stranding 2, Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2, and some other games as well. Another leaker by the name of Billbil-Kun, who has a solid track record, said last week that we will be getting some more information on Death Stranding 2 soon and that a new space-related IP called Concord will also be making its debut.
Kojima Productions is also working on Overdose, and the game looks jaw-dropping as we saw in the reveal trailer during The Game Awards. That could also merit a gameplay reveal if we’re lucky.
PlayStation State Of Play For January Leaked – Could Host Some Interesting Games
Nick Baker also said that Ken Levine, known for creating the legendary Bioshock series, will show off what he has been working on in the form of a new original IP titled Judas. Other than that, a new Sonic game and a remaster of Supermassive Games’ Until is also on the cards. The remaster will upgrade the game for PlayStation 5 users, as well as offer a PC port.
Microsoft recently held a Developer Direct which showed off Avowed, Visions of Mana, and the highly anticipated Indiana Jones as well. It seems PlayStation wants to one-up Team Green with its own set of reveals.
Usually, the start of the year sees a lot of events like this from the big three, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. And February is usually the month for a Nintendo Direct live stream, so even without any leaks, we might be getting a look at the future of Nintendo’s hardware as well as games.
