PS Plus Lineup
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania are set for the next round of PS Plus titles. They’ll be ready for download on June 4th, just in time to hold players over for the wave of sales crashing next Friday.
The Handsome Collection includes the critically praised Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel which…we don’t talk about that one. Borderlands is the game that started this loot shooter craze, becoming adored for its wacky characters and over-the-top action.
Sonic Mania is a throwback to the 2-D games of the ’90s with fast-paced gameplay, upbeat soundtrack, and retro presentation. The game is by a group of fans (hackers) who brought an impressive prototype to Sega’s Sonic Team, before receiving the green light.
As always, May’s previous titles will disappear on the 4th and can no longer be downloaded for free after that date. So make sure to add them to your library from the console or the online store for future play.
Certainly, June is shaping up to be a big month for video games. This all starts with Days of Play and free PS Plus titles arriving next week. Then, add major announcements taking place the following week at E3 for a month of gaming paradise.
