A Florida woman’s now-deleted video is still making waves on different social media platforms after she outrightly exposed the fractures in her friend group’s relationship following a night out at a club. In the video, the 25-year-old, who goes by @pradagtali on Instagram, casually recounted how she and her three other friends had chosen to visit a Miami nightclub called Vendome on New Year’s Eve and had called ahead of time to make arrangements so that they would not have to wait at the door.
Upon getting there, believing that they were about to have an expense-free night since they had already arranged everything in advance, one of the women in the group, whom she described as plus-sized, was allegedly told she would have to pay $300 to get in, while the others would be allowed entry. This new development caught the group off guard, as none of them had planned to pay an unexpected door fee, let alone one that applied to only a single person.
They Debate on What to Do
The woman said the group spent more than two hours standing outside the club, trying to decide whether they could split the cost, put the charge on a credit card, or just leave and go somewhere else. After some time spent strategizing to find a way out of the situation, she said she eventually asked her “plus-sized” friend if she would be willing to take an Uber back home so that the rest could get into the club.
“We’re 10 minutes before New Year’s Eve, and I personally did not want to spend my New Year’s Eve sitting on the curb,” the woman said in the video, adding that she offered to pay for the ride so her friend could still “watch the ball drop, watch fireworks, and be safe.” The friend didn’t seem happy with this and responded, “I’ll get in that Uber, but once I do, we are not friends anymore.”
It appears that this didn’t faze the group because the woman’s narration ends there and the video cuts to clips of her inside the club with the remaining friends, celebrating the New Year as if that was her response to her other friend’s ultimatum.
That transition, in particular, is what many viewers found jarring, and the response online was overwhelmingly critical. Many netizens accused her of being dismissive, insensitive, and willing to sacrifice a friendship for a night out. The backlash grew so intense that the original video was eventually deleted, and for a period of time, users claimed they could no longer find her Instagram page at all.
Woman Claims to Be the Plus-Sized Friend
As the story continued to circulate online with many people weighing in on the incident, another woman stepped forward on TikTok, claiming to be the plus-sized friend that was left behind. The woman, who goes by @officialannahmay, said she initially did not want to respond but felt compelled to share her side after repeatedly seeing commentary and speculation about the incident.
In her video, she explained that she had flown from New York to Miami specifically to spend New Year’s with women she believed were close friends. She then corroborated the other woman’s story, including how she was told to pay $300 because of her size, while everyone else could enter freely, and how she was asked to Uber home alone.
The woman claimed that she immediately cut ties with the group after she went home. “Not only was I embarrassed by the club, I lost people, girls who I thought were genuine friends. And this was a traumatizing experience,” she said. She also added that the issue was never about the money, but about principle, loyalty, and the fact that she had traveled out of state to celebrate with people she trusted. “When they say be careful in Miami, Miami will show you who your true friends are. It’s dead serious,” she warned.
The woman’s response video has since garnered more than 3 million views and over 400,000 likes, with many people expressing support and pushing back on the idea that she should have been labeled plus-sized at all. Some netizens, however, have questioned her account, suggesting she may not actually be the friend involved. They speculate that she could be capitalizing on the situation for attention, especially given that she’s a relatively unknown rapper who is currently promoting a song she released late last year.
Florida Woman Attempts to Clear the Air With New Update
On Instagram, @pradagtali, who appeared to have restored her page, recently shared a lengthy video addressing the controversy. In it, she disputed the version of events circulating online, insisting that multiple people are falsely claiming to be the plus-sized friend. She maintained that the group simply did not want to pay $300 to enter one club and decided to move on elsewhere.
She also said the video had been edited for comedic effect and that she never anticipated it would go viral, noting that she had only a few hundred followers at the time. According to her, some friends entered briefly to record the midnight countdown before reuniting with the others and continuing the night elsewhere. The woman also replied to one netizen who wrote in the comments section under her post, “Hope the club was worth the friendship,” that she was still friends with all three women.
However, despite that clarification, skepticism persisted. Some people openly questioned her credibility, with one writing, “Why u lying now after u told the whole story already 😂😂😂.” Another said, “May this friendship never find me 😬,” while a third added, “You’re just a mean spirited person, and honestly, that’s totally okay! 😂 have the life you deserve 🫶🏾”
