Strength is a Hidden Move (HM) in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl that players will need to move large boulders around. Particularly in caves, gray rocks will block the player’s path making the area inaccessible for exploration. However, once Strength HM has been unlocked, players can push any gray boulder by pressing the A button and walking in the blocked direction. On the other hand, players can use Strength via the Poketch. Keep in mind that the Strength Hidden Move cannot be activated until unlocking the Mine Badge. Continue reading to learn more on how to get Strength HM in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.

How to Unlock Strength HM in Pokémon BDSP

Pokémon BDSP Strength HM

To acquire the Strength HM in Pokémon BDSP, players must travel to the Lost Tower on Route 209, located east of Hearthome City and south of Solaceon Town. Once players reach the top, they will receive the Strength Hidden Move and a Cleanse Tag.

Inside the Lost Tower, players must go up several floors battling trainers and their Pokémon along the way. It is recommended to be at least Level 20 or higher to take on these encounters. At the top, they will be rewarded with Pokémon BDSP‘s Strength HM, which they can then use on the pesky boulders blocking the way in areas such as Mt. Coronet.

While Strength HM in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl is acquired within the Lost Tower, players will need to obtain the Mine Badge to activate it on the Poketch. The Mine Badge is unlocked by defeating Byron at the Canalave City Gym, the 6th gym in the game.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl are available on Nintendo Switch.
