Is it really winter if Pokemon Go hasn’t celebrated with seasonal features? Well, it’s just our luck that we don’t have to wait much longer for the season to truly begin. Part 1 of the Pokemon Go Winter Holiday event is rapidly approaching. With it comes fashionably dressed Pokemon, new debuts, and more encounters. Don your most festive gear and get ready to celebrate the holidays the only way a Pokemon trainer should.
Debuts and New Looks in Winter Holiday Part 1
Winter Holiday Part 1 lasts in Pokemon Go from December 18, 2023 to December 25, 2023, starting and ending at 10:00 AM local time. It’s a solid week of fun, wintery features and themes, and it all kicks off with new debuts for the game.
Cetoddle and its evolution Cetitan will arrive for the first time in Pokemon Go. The Terra Whale Pokemon are perfect for the season thanks to how well they blend into the snow. If you only catch Cetoddle, it takes 50 Candies to evolve into Cetitan. So, get your Pinanp Berries ready.
Alongside that, you can also catch some Pokemon with festive gear during the Winter Holiday Part 1 event. You can’t miss out on Stantler dressed up as one of Santa’s reindeer or Pikachu and Raichu wearing their best holiday attire.
Timed Research and Event Bonuses
Throughout the event, you can select which bonus you want for completing Timed Research tasks. You can’t change it once you choose it, so pick wisely. You can either have x2 XP or x2 Stardust when catching Pokemon.
