With the new Pokemon Horizons anime coming soon later in the year, fans are curious about some of the talking points. Fans are beginning to wonder if the show will have the same tone as previous anime within the Pokemon world. Or maybe it will take a different turn. At least for now, we know that the animation style is largely the same and that it will feature two protagonists with the starters from Paldea. Concerning brand new content, one tip that has been making waves lately is the fact that a special Pokemon from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC has appeared to tease what’s new in the anime.
What Do the Pokemon Anime and Scarlet and Violet DLC Share?
While there haven’t been too many direct correlations (since neither is officially released yet), it’s hard to say what similarities between the show and the new DLC will be. Both take place in Paldea, for sure, since the starters and the setting make that pretty obvious. Another thing to consider is the fact that both are releasing around the same time. Cross-promotion helps boost sales. So it’s likely that any new Pokemon in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC will appear in the Pokemon Horizons anime. For instance, the giant turtle Pokemon Terapagos, the featured Pokemon from the second part of the DLC, appears in the show’s first episode.

We know that it’s Terapagos by the amulet on Liko, a pendant that makes an appearance right out of the gate. As for other appearances from what we know about the DLC, those are still unknown. But with what we do know, this form of Terapagos looks to be some kind of pre-evolution. That, or some alternate form of the special Pokemon.
What do you think? Will the DLC directly link to the anime moving forward?
