Pokemon Day
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Pokemon Presentation went to Twitter to announce it will be going live tomorrow on YouTube. This is no doubt a part of celebrating Pokemon Day. Yes! Pokemon has its own day celebrated annually. The video presentation might have some interesting things in store. We don’t know what they might be, but we know that there’s a virtual Post Malone concert involved.

❗

Get ready, Trainers.

A Pokémon Presents video presentation will be taking place on the official Pokémon YouTube channel tomorrow—Friday, February 26—at 7:00 a.m. PDT.

In this next tweet, the official Pokemon profile somewhat jokingly brought the virtual concert to attend. The tweet reads:

“Hootie & the Blowfish? More like Posty & the Qwilfish. Get ready, Trainers—@PostMalone is dropping a new single, just in time for Pokémon Day!”

We’ve known for some time now that there’s going to be a virtual Post Malone concert. But a new signal debuting on Pokemon Day? Nice.

Pokemon and Posty

We imagine that there are many expectations involved for this event, but for now, we only know that it’s to mark 25 years of Pokemon Red and Green, so don’t expect too much or even more than just a celebration, for that matter. If there is a surprise, it’ll be more impactful if you’re not expecting it. Here’s a cool article explaining why you should manage your expectations. Shorter explanation: think about Cyberpunk 2077. But seriously, just enjoy the concert.

You can watch it on the official Pokemon YouTube channel. The whole thing goes live at 4 p.m. PT on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/12 a.m. Sunday GMT/10 a.m. Sunday AEST. So maybe make a reminder for yourself if you want to be there on time!

Excited to see virtual Post Malone? Do you know what’s coming tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below.

In other news, Grand Theft Auto gets flak from state lawmakers, and Avatar creators are launching Avatar Studios with Nickelodeon.
