The Pokemon Company has launched update 1.1.1.8 for Pokemon Unite, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch! As compared to previous Pokemon Unite patches we’ve covered here, today’s update is quite small in scope. Some bug fixes have come in, along with buffs to Blissey as it seems the team believes she’s quite weak right now. As per usual though, we don’t know how minor or major these shifts in power are, so her position in the meta is currently unknown. If you’re here for specifics though, let’s not waste more time. Here’s everything new with Pokemon Unite update 1.1.1.8!

Changes are being made to some Pokémon stats and moves to adjust the balance of Unite Battles.
Blissey
The following stats have been increased:
- Sp. Def
Safeguard:
- Removes all status conditions from the user and the designated ally Pokémon and grants both Pokémon a shield. While these shields are active, the shielded Pokémon become immune to hindrances.
- Cooldown reduced.
- Area of effect increased.
Safeguard+:
- Upgrade: Increases the amount of damage nullified by the shield effect.
As said previously, today’s update really focuses on Blissey and that’s it, in comparison to previous updates to the game. With the character’s Safeguard vastly improved, and Sp. Def upped, she should feel more reliable when it comes to healing her teammates. The bug fixes and polishing are, as always, a nice additive to ensure the health of the game. All around, a good albeit unexciting patch.
Pokemon Unite is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch, with mobile versions in the works for later this year. For more information regarding today’s update, check out the official website.
