The titular Predator from such movies as Predator, Predators and Alien Vs Predator is set to make his debut in Mortal Kombat X this coming July, alongside Jax, portrayed in the original Predator by Carl Weathers. Weathers is also set to lend his appearance from the film to be used in Mortal Kombat X.
The announcement comes from Mortal Kombat X‘s Ed Boon, who announced that both the Predator and Jax would be appearing in the game, as well as releasing a screenshot of the two in action, which you can see above. You can see Boon’s original tweet below.
The Predator isn’t the only character from outside Mortal Kombat set to appear in Mortal Kombat X; as The Nerd Stash previously reported, Jason Voorhees from the Friday The 13th franchise is also appearing in the critically acclaimed fighting franchise.

In The Nerd Stash‘s review of Mortal Kombat X, Jeremy Harris gave the game 4 out of 5 stars, saying the game:
“…is ‘bigger, badder and better’ than Mortal Kombat 9 and one of the best games of the franchise so far. It can be easily compared with the first games but there still are things that has to improve to make this bloody new chapter in this deadly story into something even better.
“Even though is an amazing game, Mortal Kombat X still needs to fix a few things, such as more friendly bigger combo creation and a longer story mode.”
So far, Predator will be the third DLC character to be released for Mortal Kombat X, following behind Jason Voorhees and Tanya. It has also been announced that Tremor will be released as a DLC character for the game at some point in the future.

Are you guys looking forward to playing as the Predator in the game? Who’s the first person in the game you’d put him up against? Think having the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise would be a good idea? Let us know!
