Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Backstabbed Late Queen Elizabeth With the Worst Betrayal: “They’ve Taken the Only Thing I Own”

One does not cross the Queen and get away with it

Family drama between child and parent is pretty uncommon, but few would deliberately cross their grandmother — especially if she’s The Queen. As if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t soiled their reputation enough, the two did the unthinkable by intentionally causing grief to the late Queen Elizabeth. They stole her name.

Lilibet is the name of the Sussexes’ daughter, but it is also the cherished nickname held by Elizabeth the Second. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claimed to have received the Queen’s blessing for this decision. However, Elizabeth had done anything but, as reports claim she was both “furious” and “livid.”

“I don’t own the palaces, I don’t own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name. And now they’ve taken that.”

A royal insider told the Daily Mail that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received no such permission to use the late Queen’s nickname for their own child. In fact, she opposed the idea, per Express. Royal author Robert Hardman stated, “One privately recalled that Elizabeth II had been ‘as angry as I’d ever seen her’ in 2021 after the Sussexes announced she had given them her blessing to call their baby daughter ‘Lilibet’.”

Now that the Queen has passed away, nothing is stopping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from continuing to spread the false word that they indeed had royal approval to name their child Lilibet. However, we should consider that one of the worst facets of this controversy is that Lilibet, the Sussexes’ daughter, will live with this awful history following her name — a history of betrayal, bitterness, and resentment in The Royal Family.

Reddit users on r/SaintMeghanMarkle also agree in overwhelming unison that “Meghan intended to cause The Late Queen grief, and Harry must have known it would” as well. Not to mention, they betrayed Elizabeth again when they capitalized off of their royal history by naming their website with the titles they relinquished. Whatever the case, it’s not difficult to see why so many online jeer whenever the Sussexes blunder in their endeavor to become A-lister celebrities. One does not cross a queen and expect to get away with it.
